Control Engineer

Professional Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Control Engineer with a strong background in industrial automation and control systems. The ideal candidate will possess 7-10 years of experience in PLC programming, specifically with Allen-Bradley Logix, and at least 7 years of expertise in HMI/SCADA system design using FactoryTalk View. This role requires a professional capable of designing, implementing, and maintaining complex control solutions in an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement PLC programming solutions using Allen-Bradley Logix platforms.
  • Create and configure HMI/SCADA interfaces with FactoryTalk View to monitor and control industrial processes.
  • Work with common industrial networks, particularly EtherNet/IP, ensuring robust and reliable communication.
  • Integrate and configure Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and other common system interfaces.
  • Interpret and apply electrical and logic diagrams in system design and troubleshooting.
  • Utilize CAD software for diagramming and documentation purposes.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team, adapting to established engineering standards.
  • Develop clear and concise technical documentation.

Technical Requirements (Must-have)

  • Experience: 7-10 years of PLC programming experience, specifically with Allen-Bradley Logix.
  • Experience: 7+ years of HMI/SCADA design experience, specifically with FactoryTalk View.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of common industrial networks, especially EtherNet/IP.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with VFDs and common system interfaces.
  • Diagram Interpretation: Ability to read electrical diagrams.
  • Diagram Interpretation: Ability to read logic diagrams.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.

Desired Skills (Nice-to-have)

  • Ability to read Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
  • Proficiency in diagramming using CAD software.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player and adapt to engineering standards.
