Professional Summary

We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer with 5+ years of expertise to develop, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans for components and systems. The successful candidate will conduct functional, environmental, and structural testing on hardware, meticulously document results, and ensure compliance with specifications. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams, development of test equipment, and application of industry standards like DO-160 and MIL-STD-810. A proactive approach to problem-solving and excellent communication skills are essential for this challenging position.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement test plans for various components and systems.
• Conduct functional testing on hardware, including electromechanical systems.
• Perform environmental testing and EMI testing on hardware.
• Execute structural testing at both component and system levels.
• Document test results thoroughly and create comprehensive qualification test documentation (Plan, Procedure, Report).
• Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, document, and analyze test procedures and results.
• Provide testing support for development, integration, and specific projects.
• Support testing for PLDC, PLAC, and Next Gen Boom.
• Develop specialized test equipment, including coordinating the design and build of test stands and fixtures.
• Develop LabVIEW software for test fixtures and stands, and coordinate with OSAT LabVIEW software engineers as needed.
• Apply industry-specific testing processes and standards such as DO-160 and MIL-STD-810.

Technical Requirements (Must-have)

• Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in Test Engineering.
• Education/Background: Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering, or equivalent background.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing test plans.
  • Hands-on experience with functional, environmental, EMI, and structural testing.
  • Experience with component-level and system-level testing.
  • Strong background in developing test equipment, fixtures, and test stands.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop LabVIEW software for test applications.
  • Familiarity and application of DO-160 and MIL-STD-810 testing standards.
  • Ability to create Qualification Test Plans, Procedures, and Reports.
• Certifications: Certification in systems, aerospace, or quality standards.

Desired Skills (Nice-to-have)

• Experience supporting testing for PLDC, PLAC, and Next Gen Boom.
