Senior AI Solutions Architect (Remote)

Professional Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Senior AI Solutions Architect to design and deliver enterprise-grade, agentic AI solutions. This pivotal role involves leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) and integrating them with critical business platforms such as ServiceNow, ERP systems, and data & analytics environments. The ideal candidate will translate complex business challenges into innovative AI-driven workflows, automation, and seamless system integrations, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and production-ready. This is a 100% remote position, requiring alignment with Portugal business hours (9:00 AM to 6:00 PM or 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM Portugal time).

Key Responsibilities

• Design and define end-to-end architectures for enterprise Generative AI solutions.
• Develop and implement agentic AI systems and multi-agent architectures.
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise platforms including ServiceNow, Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, and similar systems.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate use cases into scalable AI-driven solutions.
• Ensure solutions meet stringent production requirements for performance, scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability.
• Define and implement AI safety strategies, guardrails, and risk mitigation approaches, including grounding techniques and prompt injection prevention.
• Evaluate and balance architectural trade-offs, such as latency vs. accuracy and automation vs. human control.

Technical Requirements (Must-have)

Software Engineering Background

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong backend development expertise (Python preferred).
• Proven experience designing and delivering Generative AI solutions in enterprise environments.

LLMs & Agentic AI Systems

• Hands-on experience with LLMs (e.g., GPT-4o, o-series models) within Microsoft Azure environments.
• Strong understanding of:
  • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Grounding strategies.
  • Tool/function calling patterns.
• Experience designing:
  • Agentic AI systems, including Orchestrator architectures and Multi-agent architectures.
  • Workflow-based agents (LangGraph or similar).

Enterprise Integration

• Experience integrating AI solutions with:
  • ServiceNow
  • Salesforce
  • ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of:
  • REST APIs.
  • Enterprise integration patterns.
  • OAuth.
  • Microsoft Entra ID.
  • RBAC.
• Ability to design end-to-end workflows across multiple enterprise systems.

Architecture & Production Readiness

• Experience with:
  • Performance, Scalability, Reliability, Observability, Logging, Monitoring, KPI definition.
  • AI safety mechanisms and operational guardrails.
• Ability to balance business needs, technical constraints, and operational requirements.

Cloud & Engineering Practices

• Experience with:
  • Microsoft Azure, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services.
  • Docker, Azure Container Apps, Azure App Services.
  • CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
