Control Engineer

Professional Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Control Engineer with over 10 years of experience in PLC programming and 7+ years in HMI/SCADA design. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial automation, capable of independently commissioning, troubleshooting, and testing control panel areas. This full-time, salaried position is located in San Bruno, California.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of control panel areas, from I/O checks through to high-volume testing.
• Independently commission, troubleshoot, and test control panel areas.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to wiring, hardware, network/communication, and logic.

Technical Requirements (Must-Have)

• Experience: 10+ years of PLC programming experience, specifically with Allen-Bradley Logix.
• HMI/SCADA: 7+ years of HMI/SCADA design experience, particularly with FactoryTalk View.
• Industrial Networks: In-depth knowledge of common industrial networks, such as EtherNet/IP.
• Technical Documentation:
  • Ability to read Process & Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID).
  • Ability to read electrical and logic diagrams.
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.

Desired Skills (Nice-to-Have)

• Expertise in Rockwell PLC SCADA development.
• Experience with vision systems, including Cognex and Keyence.
• Proficiency in various programming languages: Ladder, SCL, FBD, and Graph.
• Experience with validation.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Ability to be a team player and adapt well to engineering standards.
